WOT - Clan Wars

Great tutorial video from WG about Clan Wars:

What Tanks do You Need?

A difficult choice is which end-tier tanks/arty do you want to work towards for competitive play.  Each map, opponent, and field commander all prefer and require different team set ups and tactics to function properly.  In reality a good clan will have a use for all end-tier tanks but in most cases clan war teams generally only use a select group of tanks since they perform just a hair better than others.  While it is important to work towards the tanks you enjoy playing in platoons, solo, and tank companies if you are serious about clan wars then having tanks that are desired will see you more play time.  Typically most teams have heavy tanks as the backbone with mediums, tank destroyers, and SPGs to supplement the heavy tanks.  Some maps call for more mediums than heavies or no mediums and more tank destroyers. But overall heavy tanks are the most used type of tank with mediums following close behind and tank destroyers and SPGs ranging from 0-4 used per team.

WOT - Power Leveling Guide

According to various sources on the internet, Power Leveling (PL) "can take many forms depending on the game being played, the method of leveling, and the sources of XP."  Wikipedia defines it as "the process of sustained, fast leveling".  WoWWiki defines power leveling as "the process of leveling as rapidly as possible with the least amount of play time."  While all three definitions can be applied the WoT, I think the last definition captures the essence of power leveling regardless of the game being played.  As someone who has played various MMORPGs for several years now, I can confirm that I have power leveled many characters in all of them.  And World of Tanks is no different.  Well.... mostly!
